A slightly different review this time - I recently saw choreographer Evangelia Kolyra premiere her new performance, 10,000 Litres at Rich Mix, London. As I say in the article, despite often writing on photography, it's actually the processual quality of artworks that I find most interesting.
From the moment you’re born, you don’t stop breathing. The sensation of it stopping is sudden, and wrenches you into a moment of full awareness. It happens rarely, sometimes at night in the midst of dreams; perhaps if you’re drowning. It’s a shock unlike any other.
