New Year 2018

A very underexposed photo of myself posing drunkenly for the camera at a barbeque.

2017 was different in many ways. I spent the entirety of the year working freelance, doing some interesting web design, sending out some important emails, and researching & writing some fascinating articles.

In May I moved to a new house and spent the spring and summer making the most of the garden barbecue. I got myself my first tattoo by the artist Paradise. I had my first proper printed article in the 2017 summer issue of The Plant. And I did the furthest cycle ride I'd ever done—from Dieppe to Gerberoy, 90Km in 3 hours—and then, four days later, I rode the same route back. Towards the end of the year I interned for a while at Tank Magazine, and I was asked to cover ModMag17 for magCulture. Throughout all of this I met a great bunch of people, too many to name.

This coming year I want to focus on writing and editing. I want to read more literature and write more freely; not just about art, but wider culture. I'm going to ride my bike more often, and I'm going to explore European cities before the inevitable crashing out of the EU in early 2019.
